Windows 7 Professional是微軟2009年10月推出的作業系統，特色是更優的性能，簡化的介面，更強大的搜尋功能，和更安全的網絡。此32位元版本的產品需安裝在有32位元處理器和驅動程式的電腦上。

這是昇級版，你必須已經安裝了有效授權的Windows Vista Enterprise, Business, 或 Ultimate版本，任何Windows家用版(Home edition)皆不能用此產品昇級。除非昇級前已經更新到Windows Vista的最新版本，你必須"clean install"－備份目前的檔案與設定，執行自訂 (全新) 安裝，然後重新安裝您的檔案、設定和程式。或查詢微軟網頁我的電腦可以執行 Windows 7 嗎？

大量授權重要訊息：申請此軟體的的組織有兩種大量授權金鑰(volume licence key)的選擇可以啟動Windows 7，用Key Management Service (KMS)金鑰或Multiple Activation Key (MAK)金鑰。KMS金鑰是Windows 7預設給予的金鑰，用來啟動超過25台電腦的內部網絡。如果組織的內部網絡在25台電腦以下，則應該要求MAK金鑰來啟動Windows 7。

必備安裝光碟和授權金鑰: 安裝此軟體須有授權金鑰(license key)與產品安裝光碟DVD配合使用。申請後安裝光碟將免費寄送到機構登記的地址。

配合安裝光碟，授權金鑰讓申請捐贈的組織啟動符合申請數量的電腦。當組織完成訂單而科技濃湯收到行政處理費後，組織會收到一封email顯示申請的捐贈數量和行政處理費明細，另一封email指示如何取得金鑰的資訊稍後也會寄到組織登記的email信箱。
