Windows Remote Desktop Services Device CAL (Includes Software Assurance)
This technology is included in Windows Server, but a Windows Terminal Services client access licence (CAL) is required for each device or user accessing Windows Terminal Services. This is in addition to the Windows Server CAL that is required for each device or user accessing Windows Server.
This device CAL authorises one computer to access Windows Terminal Services, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation). User CALs are also available. A user CAL authorises a user to access Windows Terminal Services from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).
Important: Windows Server Standard or Windows Server Enterprise is also required for this product, along with Windows Server client access licences.
NOTE: This licence does not require media, licence keys, or setup codes.
